I chose these games because of their high critical acclaim and reputation.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
I found this game on Argos for £45.
It was made by Bethesda, a well known maker of the elder scrolls series.
This latest installment follows its predecessor in many ways while adding to many of the core aspects of the game.
The free roaming area is much larger, there is more of an abundance of quests and there are more weapon and armor customisations to be made than ever before, as well as an exceptional graphics upgrade to all aspects of the game.

Modern Warfare 3
I also found this game on Argos for £45.
It was made mainly by Infinity Ward, a company most known for its call of duty series also known as Modern Warfare.
It offers the usual and expected expansions on its multiplayer experience as well as a single or two player mode known as "Survival".
The new Survival mode mimics the zombies mode of call of duty games made by Treyarch.

Digital Camera and Printer

Camera

It records both sound and video and has a built-in flash player.
I found this camera on this webpage. I chose this camera because it works well in most situations and it is very versatile as you can take both pictures and video.

Computer

I have built a computer based on the requirements for running games and and high spec programs such as Sony Vegas. Each of the parts required was researched and ordered from this website I focused on maximising RAM memory, the graphics card and the processor, while having a standard sound card and disk drive. The specs of the computer i have researched and built are listed below:
  •  8gb ddr3 1600mhz - £37.33
  •  AMD athlon 3.3ghz boxed processor x3 - £62.24
  •  Arctic cooling freezer 7 pro rev 2 socket AM3 CPU cooler - £14.45
  •  Arctic power 500W - £21.78
  •  Casecom 6788 all black case - £28.40
  •  Biostar AM3 6 channel audio ATX Motherboard - £33.80
  •  Palit GTS 450 1024mb GDDR5 DVI VGA HDMI out PCI-E Graphics card - £30.09
  •  500gb 3.5” SATA Hard drive 16mb cache 7200rpm 6gb/s - £48.99
  •  Optical Drive - £14.66
  •  Sata 3 cable 6gps – 64cm - £1.79
The reason why I chose these parts is because they are specifically tailored towards running and operating video games. The hard drive is suitable to hold a large amount of data which is helpful for gaming. The processor is suitable for running multiple high requirement programs at once. I offered an 8gb RAM because the users needs are met by 8gbs of RAM. The computer also features all of the normal features that a computer should such as an optical drive to be able to install games and watch dvds. The audio of the computer is standard and is run from the motherboards processor.

Task 2

How to improve response times and video on your computer.

Here are some of the easiest ways to speed up your computer.

Hardware Improvements
It is often found that many of the problems involved in running video games on a PC. Video games require a lot of high tech equipment to run efficiently. The most notable pieces of hardware are the RAM, processor and graphics card. The computer parts i have listed above give you the ability to play most games however some games may require a better processor or graphics card to run at their maximum potential. If you are experiencing these problems then try upgrading either your RAM, graphics card or processor. I can advise an upgrade in your graphics card and your processor as well as your RAM. I found this graphics card for £446 ebuyer.com. It offers much higher functionality and is suitable for all of your needs. I also found this processor priced at £169. It offers an aditional core which will provide more performance. This processor will meet and fulfil all of your needs. I have also found this RAM that offers you 16gb of memory. This RAM will handle all of your expectations and fulfil all of your needs.
Indexing
Some programs slow down your computer unnecessarily and often without your permission such as Indexing.  Indexing is a process whereby your computer sorts and collects all of the information within your computer for fast searching. Often you never search your computer or need to use this feature so it is a good idea to turn it off if your system is running slow as it may help your problem significantly.

Close other programs
Your computer is fitted a piece of hardware known as RAM or Random Access Memory. This "RAM" dictates how many items and programs and webpages you can have running at once before it can hold no . Video games tend to use a considerable amount of RAM. Often when playing games or using applications it is important that your system isn't being hogged by any other programs. Close all other programs running in the background.

Keyboard Lag
Sometimes slow response rates can be caused by the settings in your computer. I am going to tell you how to fix and prevent any lag that you may experience due to keyboard settings. Open your control panel and select the "Keyboard" option. Then change the Repeat rate and delay as this may cause you to lag when typing. Any problems you had previously concerning your keyboard should now be fixed unless the problem lies elsewhere.

Malware, Adware and Viruses
Malware, adware and viruses are infections in your computer, often obtained from fake software, false emails or false websites that can infect your computer and can use up your RAM and Processor. You can install software that will help keep your computer clean of these malware, adware and viruses easily from websites such as http://www.download.com/. Examples of programs to use are "Avast" and "AVG", both of which boast a free edition.
